Seafares memorial Group and The Fisherman’s Mission – National Fishing Rememberance Day. Sunday 12th of May 2024

The Seafarers Memorial Group have organised this event along with Jackie Dodds and is the very first National Fishing Remembrance Day.  The event will take place on the 12th of May at the Seafarers Memorial, Braehead at 14:00 and Jackie Dodds will represent The Fishermen’s Mission!

It is fitting, that this event, which has been established by the Fishermen’s Mission to remember fishermen who have lost their lives to the sea almost coincides with the first anniversary of the unveiling of our statue.  It was what our statue was created for and it will be nice and proper to remember those that did not return.

Looking forward to a good turnout.               12.05.24 – National Fishing Remembrance Day 12 May 2024 – Order of Service
